Thanks very much for your advice guys. Much appreciated. Things worked
out well tonight. It turned out to be a bug - It's a relief to know it
wasn't hardware related. I got the Karma for a good deal with the
concert piano exb. Yesterday I thought maybe that deal was too good to
be true. It seems that even when I reloaded V2.0, combis 64 and 74 in
bank E still locked it up. I was surprised by that. However after
loading the PCG preload disk and overwriting bank E, presets 64 and 74
returned and are perfectly accessible now, just like when I first
bought it. BTW, it had V2.0 in it at that time too. However I did
upgrade by adding the MOSS and another EXB board shortly after buying
it, but didn't notice any problems.

I look forward to partcipating in this group. I'm into sound design
and will submit programs and combis as I come up with some good ones.
I looked for karma/triton content on the web and was surprised by the
lack of pcg files out there for these korg flagship synths?? Maybe I'm
not looking in the right places? i.e. - googled the basic keywords -
didn't find any vast resource or compilation of new user sounds like I
thought I would.

thanks once again,

Alan

btw, I saved the old E bank with the bug and reloaded it after
reloading the preload bank - and lo and behold the bug showed up again
- definitely a software bug. I imagine there's more of them, just like
all the other synths out there - this one is no big deal because I
tried to duplicate it, but unable to. Anyway it's easy to work around
too just by not going crazy on the chord buttons while quickly
scrolling thru the combis.
