Hi Vin,
   I agree that some of the "leads" in many combis do not sit in the 
mix very well.  There are a couple of remedies.  You can adjust the 
upper register volume(s) from the mix page, but you need to know which 
prgrams are involved. You can do this by trial and error:
1. Go to the "MIX" tab F3 to open this page. If you know which program 
functions as your lead, check the volume level.
2. If it is not set to "127" (max vol) scroll down and over to the 
bottom value and use the inc/dec buttons to adjust it to 127.
3. If this does not cure the problem, then you have more work to do, 
most likely in the IFX section.
4. To get there, you need to open the "MENU" (the button under the dial 
wheel).
5.  Scroll over and down to "IFX", then hit "OPEN" F8.  Then hit, 
F7 "Route".  Here you can see if your lead program has an IFX assigned 
to it. If there is no angle line showing the route, then it does not 
have an assignment. If it has a wimpy IFX you can change this to 
IFX "002 St Compressor".
6. To do this, cursor to your leads program number till it darkens then 
use the dial wheel or inc/dec buttons to set it to one of the 5 IFX 
slots that are not being used or one that is (or can be set to) IFX 002.
7. You can select IFX 002 from tab F1 "Set Up".  Make sure it is set 
to "ON" (at the left of the display), then cursor to the IFX in 
questions and dial in 002 St Compressor.
8. Next, hit the tab of the IFX for this compressor and you should see 
various values for "Sensitivity", "Attack", "Level", and over on the 
right side of the display, the EQ settings.  Increasing any of these 
vales collectively can result in kick ass-speaker blowing leads.

To be sure there is more that you can do, but that should be enough to 
get you started.

I think I'm going to invest in a Digital Cam.  It would be easier for 
me to show you than tell you.... Actually, I should have done this for 
the Karma a few years back...but...
