Dudes,
How come I only heard from one person from this forum about my dilemma!???!!
I check out this list every day it comes to me and people get answered!!!
Why not me? I need to know this desperately. Please read my posting (repeated
below) and write back to me so I can have some peace of mind about this
gig!!!
Thanks all...
Oh, and I agree on the SPAM thing...not cool!!!
Here goes....
Help!
I have a Karma 1.0.2 with no upgrades. I am playing on a Bahama's cruise a
week from Friday. The people organizing the entertainment asked me what
keyboard I wanted and I told them a Karma. They went ahead and secured one for me.
All of my Combi splits are done on my 1.0.2 and saved to floppy disk.
However, the following message came from the people who secured my Karma which is a
version 2.0 - not a version 1.0.2. Will my floppy disks load in to this newer
operating system?!!! I am desperate for peace of mind!!
I appreciate any feedback any of you can give me.
Thank you.
Regards,
Dee
Oh...here's the Email message I received...
Dee,
I wanted to make sure that we had everything for the Korg Karma.
It runs fine. I have a couple of pedals that can be used for sustain.
I have the following floppy disks that came with it:
Factory Preload Data
Factory Preload Data Version 2.0
PCM/Performance Data Library - Vintage Archives (for EXB-PCM05 with Karma)
PCM/Performance Data Library - Vintage Archives (for EXB-PCM05)
System Boot Disk for Karma Version 2.0.0 (Disk Nos. 1, 2, and 3)
GE Disk Nos. 1 and 2 for Karma Version 2.0
I hope this array will work for you, or that you can bring any special
floppy disks that you need beyond these.
Let me know if you sense anything missing.
