Techno intros

Hi 

I'd my Karma for last 6 months, I've been trying to make Techno intro 
beat (the continuous drum beat usually in the beginning of 
Techno/Trance music). The G.E 1100(Nuclear House) in Programme A20 
gives a slight feel of the kind of beat I want.
Is there any other Real time parameters with which you could create 
beats like that?
