Hey Greg Firstly just to make sure you know what we're loading: It's a bank of 128 programs (not combi's)that are purely drum loops. So don't expect to hear any keyboard - type sounds. Users can mix these drum programs with their favorite programs to make a combi of their own. That takes a bit of know how too! PLEASE BACK UP anything (song's / programs / combi's) that you have made yourself and wouldn't want to lose. But as far as installing it, Check out the readme file that came in the DrumVol1.Zip. It should guide you through the installation process pretty simply. Note too that this bank of programs depends on the PRELOAD FACTORY DATA - so if you've played with the drum kits or changed any of the GE'S the drum programs wont sound right. As a test: call up program 031 from the installed bank: It should be called Big Rocker:Proc - It's a program of a pretty straight rock beat using the "Processed" Drum Kit. It runs at a tempo of 66. KARMA function should be ON - hitting a key will start the 'loop'. The Scene button will change the sound - adding a pan and some swing. If this doesdn't sound right try reinstalling according to the instructions below. Here are the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS cut and pasted from the readme file. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: To load DrumVol1 automatically to Bank C: NOTE: All pre-existing programs in Bank C will be OVERWRITTEN Copy DRUMVOL1.PCG from your computer to a floppy disk Insert disk into keyboard disk drive Press [DISK] for disk mode With "DRUMVOL1" highlighted Press [F8] for `Utility' Select "Load Selected" and press [F8] for `OK' Press `OK' again (there is no DRUMVOL1.SNG or DRUMVOL1.KGE to load) When loading is finished press "PROG" to back to program mode To load DrumVol1 to a bank of your choice: NOTE: All pre-existing programs in that bank will be OVERWRITTEN Copy DRUMVOL1.PCG from your computer to a floppy drive Insert disk into keyboard disk drive Press [DISK] for disk mode Press [F6] for `Open' With "Programs" highlighted press [F6] for `Open' again With "Bank C" highlighted press [F8] for `Utility' With "Load Selected" highlighted, press [F8] for `OK' Select a Bank with the Value up/down arrow (Left of the LCD screen) and press [F8} for "OK" When loading is finished press "PROG" to back to program mode Hope this helps --- In [email protected], Greg Krouse <gkrouse@...> wrote: > > Hey Paul > It seemed to download well but being still in the growing years of > Karma understanding, apprentice perhaps, I think I am loading it on > my karma incorrectly.
