you don't have to scrutinize the new member... you set the group such that new members are in moderation
let them make a post or two, then un-set them... I do this everyday... lets see
day job I have is 9 hours, 2 hour commute 1 hour lunch (there is half the day), I still find time to work all the groups, music and more.. so don't lecture me on time..

It's very easy to set the group, if you are set to low level moderation, drop the owner a note to do this for you...

besides you are doing a good job, just this would make your job so much easier... why are you fighting this? I mention this for years now...

fine, I will leave ... just tired of beating my head on a wall with some I am....

     I deleted these posts hoping the original would go away.  The 
  primary poster has been banned.  So, if you have no objections I 
  will delete these as well.  We don't need to extend the BS.  This 
  place is for Karma and music; however, the odd spammer gets 
  through.  I don't have time to be scrutinizing every newbie - 
  legitimate or otherwise, so I leave membership open.  Most of the 
  time, suspicious joiners get banned immediately.  Sometimes one gets 
  through.  When they do, I delete them and ban the poster.  I suggest 
  we just ignore it till I delete them.
