  Hi Steve,
In regards to MOSS within the Karma, you add another 6 voices for a
total of 68 voice poyphony. MOSS is quite an interesting animal that
can be programmed for sounds ranging from ambient to techno. Here is
a link to my MOSSTER.pcg demos:
  http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=100082
You'll hear what I mean. This first one - Wishing Stone - is quite
ambient, while the rest are techno oriented.
Now, my recommendation for movie/soundtrack projects would include
Spectrasonics collections, especially Atmosphere. EastWest libraries
(Colossus) would be another. There is a freebie called Crystal that
is worthwhile as well as the HGFortune freebies (Protoplasm, STS, and
Swamp). Check out KVR support group for links or do a Google search.
These, of course are software based. Karma can be used as a
controller, but CME controllers are great, built tough, reasonably
priced, and quite effective. I would check these out. Naturally,
G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) generally results from doing some
  online research.
If you get MOSS, then MOSSTER is the only "Karma-fied" collection
  of combis. Hope this helps.
  Cheers,
  Eric

The music I need is most like movie/tv soundtrack (evoke a sense of
movement, creating a "aural landscape" and such). If you have any
recommendations for add-ons that would help add to the available
options, I'd really appreciate it, whether it's Korg, Karma or some
  other source.
