advice for newcomers

I have had my Karma for a while but have yet to use it beyond a
keyboard or a midi play device. I want to step into multitasking and
need some sort of references to do so as I get pretty glassy eyed
looking just at the manual. Can anyone recommend a good synch or midi
reference text in English? My use at this point will probably broaden
into driving it with a second keyboard and a pedal board and then
exploring driving it from midi compositions that I do personally. The
Midi stuff is where I get bogged down. Appreciate your help and of
course this super instrument which continues to amaze me. It has such
fine sounds. Occassionally i set up the player with some jazz off the
net, turn down the solo instrument and play along with my accordion.
