learning curve...naaa

Yea, finally learned how to apply effects now to programs and feel 
like i'm on the brink of maybe just maybe figuring this nice 
workstation out. So much to learn even more so when alone. My hardest 
stone in my path is that 16 trax seq. I know how to copy combi and pro 
to each trax and step edit. but for the life of me can't figure out 
how to seperate the kicks from the bass sound. so like if its 
1,2,3,4, the kick sounds on all 4 but inbetween is when the bass is 
heard klike in half step. (it's not quantize is it?) Any advice would 
help except telling me to read the manuals cause i have and they gave 
me a headache. I'm a hands on learner.
