Hi Wayne,
Thanks for piping in here. I look forward to your order. If you
have MOSS, you should get MOSSTER. It's KARMA-fied and comes with
128 programs and 62 combis. If you have EXB 09 (Trance Attack), you
really want to get TRANZFER Complete. I think it has some of my best
work.
Now, the difficulties you experienced may be resolved with a
complete reinstall and reset. However, one of the instructions that
I include with my collections is to always shut down and reboot your
Karma right after installing powerful pcgs and kges such as from
Chemistry, ETM, TRANZFER etc.
Next, anyone who has purchased a used Karma or anyone who has
messed (experimented) around with his/her Karma, should do the
complete reset and reinstallation of all factory data. So, to help,
go to the following link from Karma Lab and go to the info/data links
below the Karma picture.
http://www.karmalab.com/korgkarma/korgkarma.html
You want to click on the links beside:

- OS 2.0 - Download from Korg USA
- Loading System Software 2.0 (in Detail!) Extremely detailed
instructions in .pdf format. Even if you're not "a dummy," you might
want to check these out!
- Factory Preload Data (for OS 2.0) Use this to restore the contents
of your Karma to factory condition.

Hope that helps for now.
Cheers,
Eric

and have yet to even install the Moss board (!)

My KARMA locked up and I powered down and back up -- and the OS would
not load (I was highly upset but did have visions of a new M3 in my
future). I couldn't find anything at KLF so emailed support.
Stephen answered the same day (while away for the NAMM show in CA)
and explained: To clear the memory "Hold the Menu + 9 keys while
turning the unit on."

going through the Chemistry sounds but seems unrelated). So, I got a
BLANK KARMA and started reloading everything: I have had trouble
loading anything into Program Banks C & D. The Combis from my
various EXB boards seem to load but not the Programs and maybe not
all of the GEs. The Program NAMES load but they are SILENT -- I must
just being hearing Combis that use A, B, E Programs.

anything at KLF; any ideas? Even though I'm showing OS 2.0 maybe I
should reload it, too?

the factory?
