   Before I explain about GEs and .KGE files, you need to be aware that 
EXB09 DOES NOT come from Korg with any GEs, NOR does it come with any 
KARMA-fied combis.  The PCG for EXB09 is Triton specific; and to make 
matters worse, the Triton arps for all EXBs do not function in the 
Karma.  Karma requires GEs, as you have figured out.

There are 1190 factory GEs contained in the preload. There are an extra 
10 User GE banks each containing 32 GE locations for a total of 320.  
These User GE banks are labelled from A to J. Be careful not to confuse 
User GE bank letter names with Program and Combi bank names.  They are 
separate items. User GE Banks A to F have been taken up by 0405.kge.  
These are the converted GEs for EXB 04 and 05 - the only two EXBs that 
have been KARMA-fied by Korg.  G, H, and I, have been taken up by 
Chemistry.  While bank J has a small conflict with Reincarnation and 
EJ2.kge.  This latter KGE contains GEs derived/converted from EXB09.  I 
believe Valery over at KLF has a similar KGE file for J as well.

Now, having said all that, simply loading EXB09's PCG (including the 
two program banks in C and D, and the combi bank in C or D) will NOT 
provide you with KARMA-fied programs or combis.  You'll have to program 
these yourself or attempt to convert these with MW.  This is a very 
detailed process.

You have two other options: One is to download Valery's converted pcg 
from the files section over at KLF.  The other is to order EJ2's 
fully "KARMA-fied" Collection called TRANZFER Complete 
(http://2ej2.tripod.com/tranzfer/).

One last piece of advice: If you haven't already registered and 
participated over at KLF - Karma Lab Forums (http://www.karma-
lab.com/forum/index.php?s=), you owe it to yourself to do so asap.
