EXBs & MOSS

Hi,
  There are a number of EXBs (Expansion Boards) that were available when the KARMA was produced --  and they go in the little door on the top/left of the KARMA.  The MOSS option stands for something like Multi-Osc Synth System and is a circuit board that is installed in the bottom of the KARMA under the silver access door --- READ THE MANUAL for tips on installing either kinds of expansions as there are invaluable tips/tricks.
   
  For a time the MOSS was even free -- this is the same type of synth brain that was in the -- MS2000 I think and is more of an analogue modelling instead of DSP approach.
   
  The EXBs are great and have such names as "vintage synth" "dance extreme" "grand piano" "loops construction" etc. (from memory)  Ebay may be the only place these are avail(?) and not all of them are Karmafied.  
   
  You should check out Karma-lab too for more about these and especially MOSS.  I have installed mine but have never even loaded up the software to read it : | ---- will anyone (other than Eric) ever get to the depths of the "Maroon Monster?"  Speaking of Eric, he has done 3rd party work that mimics some EXB/MOSS as many do not have the expansions.
   
  So it increases your sound pallet (all new programs) and even synth programming approaches.  I snatched a number of them up when I bought my KARMA.  If you ever buy a synth new, get all the expansions you can while they are out there (learned this the hard way on my JD800). . . My KARMA misses me because Radias came along and (dare I say) the Polar.  I'm thinking I should take KARMA baby to that desserted island when I go -- hehe.

on KARMA 2 which is found only in the M3 and OASYS. Programming with

treat. So, if you are into programming your own sounds, get the 
M3...and if you can afford it, the OASYS.
