LOL-ROF....

As as old hardware synth guy I have to say the soft
synths, while prodigious and deep, cannot satisfy when
you want to jam your ass off just before bed....no
boot time, no setup, no load....just turn it on and
play...
I know I am a dynosaur now but with three generations
of Korg (01, wavestation and karma) along with a
motif...I don't feel like I need the softsynth world
(yet). I think the M3 will keep me thinking that way.

I do think, however, downloading projects to protools
or something that can clean up audio and edit out
gliches is something I would like to have....but for
pure joy of making your own sounds....nothing like
keys with aftertouch...

These two worlds are beginning to merge...hardware
setup for softsynths and softsynth capabilities in
hardware....link link link...learn learn learn...

But sometimes, you just want to play...

It does not keep me young, nothing can do that (game
over already), but it keeps me creative and that is
vital...
