Thanks...I have hope for my karma or my new
M3 when I get it. I have seen some youtube on
M3 that will fit the old "Spam" Utah venue.

I am going out with a new project soon if
no one is using my Crazy Uncle productions
name...more experimental and rhymic as
a counterpoint to Sam (spam?) Utah's
sleepy ambience....and Karma Tech will
be a centerpiece. The motif has some
grooves but they just kinda chug along.
Karma changes, mutates and evolves...
much more interesting. I am not meaning to
diss Triton or AWM2 or any sample based
digital. I would not go back to the Juno 60
days on a bet...I just miss mod-ing a true wave
directly and getting there quickly with front panel
filters. Karma and Motif both give you
something there but require more intelligence
in voice design and setup.
Not complaining...but I will probably add
a VA like Roland JD, JV, XP to get the
vintage emulations....and I will be on the
lookout for a deal on M3 or Oasys...no
question.

            Hi Steve,

Sorry for the typo. That should have read "Spam", lol. Anyway, if

you haven't heard the Legacy Collection LAC-1 EXi(MS-20 and Polysix)

on the OASYS, then you're in for a treat. OASYS can do analog,

regardless of the LAC-1 EXi. With today's high powered digital

synths, the myth that they cannot emulate analog sounds is just that -

a myth. I've been in this business for over 40 years, played both

crappy and excellent analog and both crappy and excellent digital

instruments. All I can say is that in today's world, to me, the aura

of analog is much overrated and, in some cases, over priced (e.g. a

Macbeth). However, I will concede that for some, only analog fits

the bill.

Next, don't hold your breath waiting for KARMA 2 for the Karma, MW,

or KarmaTriton to happen anytime soon. Stephen has tons of new

projects on the go and it could be quite a while - if ever - before

he revisits updating KARMA 2 elements (not all of them) for MW or

KarmaTriton, never mind the red Karma. For the latter, this simply

will not happen. So, if it's KARMA 2 technology you're hankering

for, then you'll have to get it in an M3, OASYS, or anything new in

this department coming from Korg.

Cheers,

Eric
