Hi Wayne,
Thanks for the vote of confidence in my combi collections. My
conversion of OASYS to M3 project is not moving ahead as quickly as I
would like, but "CATALYST" (64 combis for the OASYS) will eventually
find its way to the M3.
As for the number of GE's, both the OASYS and M3 have more. They
came out of the factory with nearly double the old Karma's - for the
OASYS it's 2,048 presets, 32 real-time parameters per GE, 13 RTC
(Real Time Controller) Models provide more consistent control of
KARMA 2 parameters. For the M3 is was 2,093 preset GEs.
Now, I'm not at my OASYS or M3 to give you the GATED GE number
you're looking for, but it's in there. With Stephen's Karma
software, you should also be able to design your own GEs. Karma Oasys
software is out now, so stay tuned for his Karma M3 utilities
sometime this year. I know Stephen is overloaded with work, so I
won't hazzard a guess when. Just follow the announcements over at
KLF (Karma Lab Forums) http://www.karma-lab.com/forum/index.php?s=

Cheers,
Eric

quality/enjoyable instrument. The keybed is awesome and EDS really
has a depth to the sounds that seems to be better than the HI (think
that's what the Triton/Karma engine was called). I guess the M3 is
even more of a "ROMpler". . .

get the M3 conversions ready for market! We love your work.

the maroon monster (sorry, guess I could Google this)?

began chopping the sound right at the attack (and don't think this is
a parameter I can get into). I also believe one can't create their
own GEs with the K2 software as in K1 - I doubt if very many people
did this anyway; except you : )
