Hi, As a long-time keyboard player I'm not sure that a curved keyboard would allow the dexterity needed to be able to quickly place fingers of both hands in the right places. In playing a keyboard, there is essential body-movement along the length of the keyboard which wouls seem to be hampered, and if the right hand was playing notes of high register, whilst the left hand was playing lower bass notes, both hands would be away from the player's peripheral vision, making accuracy much more difficult. Another difficulty might be in transporting such a keyboard, it is difficult enough to find good cases for standard keyboards, which at least stack well together in vans etc. Just my initial reaction. I am designing a keyboard which is quite different from what we imagine of "keyboard". Firstly, its shape is not linear; it looks like a curve. And keys are placed with an angle. Also I propose a different usage of thumb. Can you please look at the drawing on the link and comment on it. I am not a keyboardist and your help is really valuable for me. Best wishes...
