I know (firsthand knowledge) that sometimes the firmware isn't in "just right" sometimes (from the distributor); this was more dealing with the v5's 4.7 to 4.8 etc. So it could be that just the act of reflashing may have solved the issue. My company sells fully-packaged SCSI2SD systems and I always reflash every board I get in, just for safety, and so far that's worked out well if not perfectly. BTW, just to hijack the thread a little, I feel that since the Kurzweil's have their own partitioning, I would recommend the v5.1 board instead of v6.0 because the extra ID's just aren't needed. Of course the v6 board can serve as a card reader, but feature is not used as much as you would think. Besides, shuttling the SD card is an extra measure of safety.
