Please note that some tests ARE destructive to user objects, notably anything with write/read of user object memory. Formatting the flash will also lose sample data associated with programs.
But I would run the 456 diagnostic instead. Both issues might be electronic issues rather than data issues. First, try different phones, in case it's the cable on those. Next, the headphone socket could be mucky - a dirty contact could be the easiest and most common explanation of this issue. Third try a bad solder on the phones socket, common after tugs and other use abuses. Lastly, could be the ribbon from the engine board to the output board - only fixable by replacing the ribbon (20way, molex).
The buttons again could be a bad switch. Errors on this are testable using 456 - press and hold 456 - and try each actuator in turn. See what works. If you are getting intermittent issues with the panel, it's either the switch part itself, or again, the ribbon between the panel and the mainboard - same ribbon as above.
Without running logical tests, very hard to advise further. Nothing scary in one of these though. And you can make your own rribbon up if needed.
