Re: Pitch bend problem- and I don't know anything

You can check the pitch bend wheel's functionality by pressing the UTIL soft button from the MASTER page as pictured.  From there you can choose a MIDI monitor function and wank on the wheel to see if it is generating messages. Same goes for the small ribbon under the wheels, and the big ribbon over the keyboard, and any other hardware controller on the instrument. 

 My first guess is that something other than the Default Setup patch is assigned as the Control Setup, and whatever setup it is does not have pitch bend or the ribbons activated.
 

 IIRC, Control Setup is on the MIDI XMIT page.  Find out what it is set to, and change it to the Default Setup if possible.
