Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I had already tried the hard reset without any luck and the diagnostics did not turn up any errors. What finally worked was some advice I found in an earlier Kurzweil thread about waiting at least 30 minutes after removing the RAM batteries. I had changed them, but did not wait before putting new ones in. I guess that extra time is needed to fully clear the RAM and reset DSP.
