 I definitely would not do that. The components are expecting a certain amount of current to function properly and if they are not receiving the current they want it will probably cause the power adapter to fail as they try and draw more power to keep their circuits running.

Shouldn't matter much. The voltage always varies a little. Just make sure it puts out 2 amps
