when buying a used K25-26..make sure the key up is not a clunking sound..but a decent one can be had, I guess, for $500ishbut I'd check ALL buttons...

Thanks Jon, I've been leaning that way.  Would it make sense to you to buy a used 2500 or some other keyboard with similar capabilities?Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

forgive my defeatist attitude..but possibly, some times, the best answer is to purchase a used instrument in decent shape and sell the cadaver one to a party that would salvage parts?

So it's been awhile since I've posted here.  I have a 20 year old k2500 that is dead.  You guys described it as the Blue Death Screen, I believe.  I still have the keyboard but it doesn't power up.  I would like to revive that keyboard, purchase a used one, or buy something that would give me the same capabilities.  With that in mind let me ask some questions:What part would it take to bring this keyboard back to life? I think I knew that answer but if I did I forgot. Would buying a used 2500 make sense?  I don't plan on using it in live gigs. Just in the studio for strings and horns, etc.Can anyone recommend a keyboard that would be a good replacement for the 2500?Thanks,Don.....Sent from my Galaxy Tab® S2
