All great suggestions but if the floppy drive controller chip on the K2500 board is fried then none of these will work anyway...

I've posted here in the past a solution I have in two of my K2600R which is an IDE to CF card reader similar to:
https://www.startech.com/au/HDD/Card-Readers/Internal-Card-Readers/Compact-Flash-Card-to-IDE-Adapter-with-35-Bay-Enclosure~35BAYCF2IDE https://www.startech.com/au/HDD/Card-Readers/Internal-Card-Readers/Compact-Flash-Card-to-IDE-Adapter-with-35-Bay-Enclosure~35BAYCF2IDE

and then use a SCSI to IDE adapter such as: https://www.vesalia.de/e_acard.htm https://www.vesalia.de/e_acard.htm

No need for the floppy interface at all!

The reader I have can handle all sorts of other flash card formats: SD, Sony stick, etc but CF is pretty convenient.
