 Hello Garth, Hello Jose,
Thanks for your replies.  José, I don't know if it's reversed cables but I use these cables with other SCSI drives like Zip or CD-ROM without any problem. But I'll check, thanks for the advice
Garth, my replies in blue :
>The guy who sold me the device formatted the SD card in order to get drives 0 to 7 shared between both synth.

Oh no... I assume this a v6.x SCSI2SD? No that's a V5 orV5.1

>The K2000R has specific drives and that's the same for the TS10.

I assume some ID's are formatted for the Ensoniq and some for the Kurzweil. Yes that's is but I have a serparated SD card for the K2000R and one for the TS, sorry my previous mail wasn't clear enough about that

>When using the device with the Ensoniq it works like a charm. But when using it with the K2000R, it detects the drive but when trying to show the content of the drive, it shows a "pc_dskinit this is not a DOS disk".

Sounds like that's a ID that isn't formatted for either.

>On the other hand, it can show the content of the drives created for the Ensoniq TS10 and can succeed in accessing to the content.

That's because the Kurzweil can "read" (rather, it translates) Ensoniq Instruments. The conversion is sub-standard but it does the job, somewhat. This is what I noticed, sure

>I had a great, really great support from the guy who sold me the device. He sold a lot of these devices "prepared" for K2000 but never encountered this kind of issue.

OK.

>We tried formatting the Card again from the K2000 (seems to work at first but then when trying to access the same error message appears) we tried another SD card (didn"t work) and when sending back to him the SD card he sold me with sounds, he could access to the files on his K2000. So apparently there are issues neither on the SCSI2SD nor on the SD card.

Sounds like a OS issue. What OS is he running? It's V3.87. I made a diagnostic and get failure on pseudo and godot chips, do you thinks it could explain; These are the only defect found during diagnostic

Also, are you unplugging/replugging the drive into each sampler? You mean if I tried again on Ensoniq to see if there are no issues? I tried and it works on ensoniq

What about using a separate card for each sampler? See 2nd reply

Also, there's no possible way to access all 0-7. Best possibility is that you set your K2000 to self-ID at 3, like the TS, so you have access to 0 1 2 4 5 6 7. Make sure you don't have a SCSI ID conflict. You don't have a internal SCSI Drive on your K2000, do you? Thanks, i'll try. No internal SCSI drive in my K2000, i'll try that's a good idea, thanks

Also, what firmware are you running on your SCSI2SD? It's been hit-miss the last couple firmware revisions with Kurzweil.  The seller told me the firmware has been recently updated. I downloaded the last one in the SCSI2SD drive. Might be 4.8.0 or something like that that fixes Kurzweil troubles according to the source website

Kurzweil needs reversed SCSI cable. Did you use a standard SCSI cable to Connect the scsi2sd to the kurzweil?

On my Kurzweils scsi2sd works perfectly.

Greetings,
José Juan
