Here's a method for downloading a complete backup of a Yahoo group like KurzList: https://www.gearslutz.com/board/showpost.php?p=14276438&postcount=41 It involves using (installing if necessary) Python 2.7, installing a Python module, editing "https" to "http" and a header line in the module file, copying a couple of cookies from Google Chrome, executing a commandline (on Linux, Mac or Linux), and keeping the local folder it downloads of the group's a full hierarchy containing e-mail messages, attachments, photos, files, etc. Anyone doing so please report to this list that you have, so we know at least one copy is available. Even if you don't upload it to groups.io or somewhere else at least the backup is made. Then it can be uploaded to groups.io or to somewhere else later, once there's a place. You don't have to wait for a new home for the group to send it to.
