V3.54 of v3.89I would only use V3.89, It loads faster and has support for l=
ater also device. There are two different OSs, one for early early version w=
ith Calvin and another version for most common later versions.=C2=A0 for Ja=
nis models.=C2=A0 Look at your current eproms, it will have a J after the v=
ersion number, ie, v3.89 J.=C2=A0 Very early may not have C for Calvin.
You can use a scsi 2 drive with a 3 Dollar adapter.=C2=A0=C2=A0
If the hard drive you select draws more than an amp, it may not spin up, th=
e fix is to replace the digital 12 volt regulator(7812) with a 78T12 that c=
an handle 1.5 amps.=C2=A0 There are two 7812, one is for =C3=A0nalog and th=
e other for digital voltages.=C2=A0=C2=A0

The K2000 would then see it as 4 separate drives.
That's not what _I_ am talking about at all.
I'm talking about the partitioning THE KURZWEIL is able to do. (SCSI2SD,we =
do not use the term "partition", we use the term"ID" or "SCSI ID".)
(And, my company sells many SCSI2SD boards and for the K2500 we set it upwi=
th a 32GB SD card, ID it 4 different ways, and put 4 partitions on eachID, =
thus taking advantage of the entire 32GB card with 16 partitions. -And extr=
a note to be precise; the last ID actually gets 3 partitions, since a 32GB S=
D card is never 32GB but more like 31.4GB.)
"THE KURZWEIL" meaning the K2500 for sure (I have one), but myquestion is w=
hether the K2000 is able to do this, and if so, what is theminimum OS that =
can do it.
BTW, the "partitioning" is computer-compatible partitioning;that is, if you=
hook the drive/card into a computer - Mac or Windows -all the partitions w=
ill show up, mounted on the computer.
Again, the K2500 does this - does the K2000?
(I know Gordon answered this but I'm asking for a further confirmation.See =
other post.)

I'm running the very latest, 3.87J (Janis chipset). It definitely doesnot s=
