I know this has been discussed here in other contexts, but...
 

EHX B9 or C9 - As I understand it, these are not "tracking" and have nothing to do with MIDI, i.e. they are not converting from analog to MIDI. 

 It's more like the Roland V-Guitar (VG).  I assume it uses DSP (i guess you call it "difference modeling" and/or "digital signal processing") to re-shape your guitar signal into something that sounds like an organ signal.  I don't really know, but I assume it's doing an A/D (analog to digital) conversion, then DSP (as opposed to analog to MIDI, which is digital of sorts at some level, but not wav or whatever A/D then D/A to the amp. 

 So, unlike a guitar-to-MIDI interface (hex pickup into a converter like the Roland GK, Axon, and etc) then MIDI out into a synth, it is dependent on the guitar tone/signal, but not as a "trigger" for a note (among other parameter).  
 

 No tracking issues like false notes.  It sure sounds pretty good in the demos.  Of course, I can see how skilled these players are at capturing the chording and playing that works for keyboard, but MIDI guitar has similar issues.
 

 If they make one that sounds as much like a piano as this does an organ, I might just get rid of my MIDI guitar rig  (Axon 100MKII), but it won't be able to quantize notes.  The B9 or C9 will bend notes - it plays whatever pitch the guitar string is playing.  
 

 Been a while since I talked about this stuff.  With pitch correction and conversion, it's all getting so complicated, and I'm getting old.
