The .5 ms latency is in the wireless radio used only; the latency in the 
FTP is less than anything else available in pitch to midi. However the 
physics limits the minimum latency to somewhat less than 20 ms.

To get effectively zero latency you have to combine some of the guitar 
audio with the synth output IMHO.
