Thanks again for the help.

I know exactly zilch about midi software. I've installed [I think] the
IK Multimedia SampleTank software and have received the authorization
code and digital ID. I can open SampleTank 2. I don't have the FTP
software yet installed, and don't have anything midi connected to my
pc. I've changed the driver to ASIO I think, but nothing else.

The SampleTank screen shows a keyboard at the bottom. With pc speakers
connected should I be able to click on a key on the keyboard and get a
sound out? If so can you give me a link for learning what buttons or
settings I need to make to get a sound? I don't even see a way to
choose what sound is played...or even a list of sounds. Help!

Regards,
James
