Andrzej- What is PFActor?:
you can use PFactor and its additional pedals/expression

It seems Fishman does everything in mono mode. I know this improves tracking by eliminating "cross-talk" between strings. But its a pain in the butt to set up each time.

How do you set up your Motif xs for use with FTP? Do you use mono mode?
Is tracking reasonably free of glitches for you in poly mode, if PB is off?
[ have an older Motif ES, so I will try your setup and give feedback]

2.If you put USB hub in front of your rack then plugging/unplugging FTP is piece of cake

I dont understand. You must have iConnect 1 or 4 or Kenton, etc.. to connect to Motif. How does a USB hub figure in?

 Thanks!

 Peter,

Generally YES. I use it with XS rack so no problem. In MIDI4+ you can merge, filter, change, route MIDI between 5 DIN, USB, Ethernet.
If RTP MIDI is ok for triggering sound then all will work good. I never used MIDI over LAN for triggering synths only for program changes / CC but… I use it over WiFi.

If you put USB hub in front of your rack then plugging/unplugging FTP is piece of cake. Remember you can use PFactor and its additional pedals/expression as Hold/Sustain pedal for FTP too :)

First gen. of iConnect is more similar to Kenton but t works as a bridge for iOS devices and computers. No 5 DIN, no Ethernet.

BTW: I had Yamaha G50 and FTP is far far better. Like Roland GR55 was better. It was slower but more accurate esp. on internal PCM sounds. FTP is fast as Axon was and (of course if you program it and your synth correctly — PB ranges, velocity dynamic, sensitivity) it is far beyond.

Will the Connect4 merge the incoming midi data from the eventide with the FTP data and send to the Motif ?

Studio: I use MidiOverLan. My computers are connected by ethernet wire.
I see iConnect4 has an ethernet port. Would I be able to play my Motif, and simultaneously get a signal sent to my studio computers?
