PiCorePlayer and WMA lossless

I was settling in for a nice listen to some older recordings when I rediscovered that my PiCorePlayer won't play WMA. Very annoying. I remember encountering this before and received advice on what to do, but never implemented. Refresh my memory please. I don't want to convert the many files to flac if I can avoid it. What do I need to do to have the system play these? R.
