Hi everyone, apologies for being so late. I completely missed this thread. And guess what brought me here? A Transporter that came here for repair (both transformers blown, 5V supply blown, mains fuse continuously blowing), and now after replacing all these components, the Transporter can be operated as usual but won't play anything. Whatever I give it, it announces it's playing but never advances, the play time stays at 0:00 and there is no audio output, of course. I checked all voltages and nothing seems wrong. Also tried the different reset methods and it didn't help. Wi-Fi or Ethernet, does not matter. LMS or mysqueezebox.com are both affected. Using the latter, it buffers before playback as usual, then says "PLAYING", but nothing happens and there's no output whatsoever. Checked all settings, nothing. So yeah, it's as bad as most of the people described here, and I am equally desperate for a solution. What I additionally observed is that either the front panel or main PCB react to flexing by restarting, and sometimes it's even necessary to flex the case (without the top cover on) to have it start up after mains was switched on. Hairline crack? I checked with the microscope and didn't find anything suspicious yet. Connections were all redone multiple times so I can rule the flat flex connectors out. I have not disconnected and reconnected the CPU sub-board though. Now that both boards are on the workbench without being attached to the case, flexing does not seem to have any effect. This is really odd. But might be completely unrelated to what's going on in the other units not playing. Unfortunately, if playback is not happening due to an internal failure, or communication issue of some sort, it won't show up in the server log as it happens in the client exclusively, and I wouldn't know about any way to get to the Transporter's internal log. Maybe the CLI helps, I'll check it out and let you know if it moves. Did anyone figure it out in the meantime? Cheers, Joe PN me if your Boom / Classic / Transporter display has issues!
