Tracks stop after 30 sec

I’ve posted before but haven’t resolved this problem yet.  I’m running
Pi4, usb hard drive with mostly Apple lossless files.  

Streaming to Logitech Touch controlled via iPeng.  Coax out to Music
Hall DAC.

I’ll be playing songs without issues then all of a sudden track stops
after 30 seconds of playing.  On iPeng it appears song still playing
then reverts to 30ish seconds, stops completely or skips suddenly to
next track.

If I put HDD attached to laptop running LMS and stream via same setup I
do not have this issue.

I also can’t get Spotty to load on raspberry, only laptop.

I’m about to set LMS on laptop and pitch the damn raspberry!

Help!
