Streaming and Playlist.pm

Wow... I've been looking at Playlist.pm for a while and am lost. Here's my problem: If I grab a .pls file from shoutcast, it contains looks like this: [playlist] File1=http://66.9.105.2:8880 Title1=D I G I T A L L Y - I M P O R T E D - EuroDance & HiNRG - Finest imported cheese on the net! Length1=-1 File2=http://66.9.50.228:8880 Title2=(UK) D I G I T A L L Y - I M P O R T E D - EuroDance & HiNRG - Finest imported cheese on the net! Length2=-1 And so on.... As you can see, the URL doesn't have a trailing "/" or any other path info. When I try to use the SliMP3 to open up the playlist, the server dies with "Can't open socket to [66.9.105.2:888]: Connection refused at lib/SliMP3/Playlist.pm line 358." So the port is getting trimmed. And, if I stick a warn into the code, I see the path getting set to the missing digit. I've tried quite a few mods but none of them seem to make any difference. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm looking at the right part of the code. Is it just me or is Playlist.pm a real mess? Much of it seems to be spent trying to decide if we're talking about a file or a URL and doing home-grown regex. URI.pm is definitely the way forward.
