I got it sorta working on MacPerl 5.6.1
now - let's ditch 5.2.0. I think

there are some issues with the path separator, and I'm seeing some of
the

"underfined value" errors that were reported
earlier.

Did you check my diffs from before? I've fixed the
extraneous warnings and errors that you mentioned.

Mostly harmless, let me know if you "approve" for
checkin.
