How to temporary interrupt a Stream?

Hi SLIMP3 Developers,

I'm developing a plugin that wants to play an MP3 sound to a (all?) SLIMP3
player. Even if the player is busy playing something else, I would like to
interrupt this stream, play the plugin's file/playlist, and then resume the
stream it was playing.

What's the best way to accomplish this?
