In that situation I'd edit the files so that the songs that should
stay together are in a single file anyway.


One thing that's slightly disconcerting for me about the current
shuffle is this situation:
- Playing in shuffle mode
- already played some songs
- I add songs to the current playlist
* songs that have already been played get shuffled back into the
  yet-to-be-played part of the playlist.
