That seems like a good way to do it. Currently all our paths start with / or \ (for unix and windows systems), so I'll have to see if I can work around that. I'm also not certain how MacOS (not OS X) systems will handle the change, since they do absolute paths in an odd fashion. I figured out why I was seeing different behavior in the compiled vs. the CVS versions. In virtualToAbsolute it checks to see if the supplied path starts with $mp3dir. It makes this comparison in a case sensitive manner. Well, in my CVS version I have the mp3dir set up with the case matching the file system, but when I set up the compiled version I used all lower case, which didn't match. So, another question, should that check be case sensitive? Robert ------------------------ Yahoo!
