It does have one other:  It makes manually searching the list easier.
But this advantage only applies to the slimp3's web interface; the
player interface only displays and scrolls a single song at a time.

But that brings to mind another thing that's missing (in my ancient
version of the server software and may have been added in a more
recent update):  You can't search within a playlist.
