Big Brother output to SliMP3 display?

Hello, I believe that I have heard on the list that it is possible print different information to the SliMP3 display, information that is not necessary related to the SliMP3. If this is true has anyone written a script to output warnings messages from say Big Brother or Snort to the SliMP3? I use both Big Brother (www.bb4.com) and Snort (www.snort.org) to monitor problems and or attacks on my home network. It would be cool to have the a simple warning flash on the SliMP3 display for a few minutes, something like ***Snort IDS Attack Detected*** or **Big Brother RED Condition Exists** There probably is not enough SliMP3 owners that use BB or Snort to make this a feature, but if someone has written such a script on the side, I would love to see it.
