486 server?

I'm sure this has been addressed before, but I am a very, very new newbie,
so I'll ask the question: would a 486 be an ane adequate server for the
Slimp3, say with 16 megs of RAM? The only reason I ask is that I can get a
free 486 from school, so if I can use it for this, that would be really
great.
