Thanks.

Is it safe to assume that the folder that contained this m3u file
also contained the following MP3 files:

One Night In Heaven.mp3

Moving On Up.mp3

Renaissance.mp3

You Just Have To Be There.mp3

Love Is In My Soul.mp3

Don't Look Any Further.mp3

Natural Thing.mp3

Little Packet.mp3

La Vida Loca.mp3

Melody Of Life.mp3

If so, then it seems fine to me. I tried making a similar
one on my system (you seem to be on a PC, from the DOS-style line
endings in the file) and it worked fine.

I'd say to try the 2.1 version when it comes out, or download a
beta version to try the current fixes.

dean -
i've attached a simple m3u file that contains a list of all the tunes
in the folder it resides. it works fine on my server.

Thanks. Could you resend it zipped (or gzipped, or
stuffed) into an archive? I want to make sure the file comes
through bit for bit without any mailers in the way?

what is
interesting for version 2 of the software is that:

1. the m3u file gets
listed last (instead of first) - meaning if you play the parent folder
it will play all the tunes in it (better than before)

The fix I just made for 2.1 reverts to the earlier
behavior of not playing the contents of playlists when you play the
folder containing them. When you play a folder, it just plays
the songs (recursively) in that folder. If you want to play the
playlist, select the playlist and press PLAY.

2. it
will then get to the m3u file and say <empty> - which as you can
see it isn't (i realise that there may be user-stupidity at large
here) - whether i use the player remote or browser

Hmm... I haven't seen this. I'll try to reproduce.

3. the
id3 tags work well for finding things - though i had a

\genre\j-m\artist\album style system before
which works pretty well. i couldn't have found everything by
pink floyd from 1982 though. i better get all the tags sorted
then!

I've got the same problem. Before I fixed all my
file names and folder names, but now I've got to fix my tags!
That's progress for you...
