Random play question

I'm a "potential customer" at the moment.  (The $250 is hard to come
up with though ;(

  Does the SliMP3 have a random mode?

  Yes. The SliMP3 lets you play mp3s in random order, either for
  a single folder or for folders of folders. For example, if you had
  your music organized by genre/artist/album, you could go to your
  "Rock" folder to hear random "Rock" tracks for any artist/album, or
  you could go to "Rock/ACDC" to hear random ACDC songs.

I saw on a Kenwood 200 disk changer that they have 8 genres that you
can assign any disk to and then random play from one of those genres.
I thought this was a cool feature.

Is there anything being done for a random based on the genre id3
tag? I have 4 or 5 major genres that I listen to. I don't want to
organize them into a genre/ directory structure. But, I do have all
the genre tags set.
