Perl requirements...

I'm running perl 5.6.0, which does not seem to be good enough for the
SliMP3 server, as I am getting a ton of errors.  

Since I can't upgrade the server, I'm wondering why Perl 5.6.1 is
required?  

Any BTDT?  I just upgraded the firmware and the SliMP3 server software,
but I still have some MP3's that are hanging the player....

Strangely enough, these problems just started recently, as everything was
running perfectly for a long time.
