I have my wonderful SliMP3 player running at home just beautifully.
My wife thinks it is quite cool.

At home I have Service Pack 2 installed for Windows 2000
Professional. At work I have SP2 installed on the two machines I
tested at work; one running W2K Server and the other running W2K
Pro. Both at work failed, in the sense that the player's display
kept bouncing.

I have not reapplied SP2 and tested. My wife won't let the player
leave the kitchen!

I am still looking for a reasonable set of speakers. The links that
a couple of you suggested might be what I go after, but the pair of
speakers that I have had for what seems like years is what I am
looking for. If anyone knows where (or who) I can get another set
from I would be eternally grateful. They were made by Reveal (of the
Creative/Sound Blaster fame/era) and are since defunct. The model
number on the speakers is RS-320. Google'ing turned up nothing
useful and eBay seems empty.

Now I am planning on turning my attention to tearing into the Perl
scripts. What does everyone (or anyone!) think of also
creating/adding/rolling into, some sort of proxy to slide past
firewalls? As in corporate firewalls.... :)
