How does the firmware handle packets that are less than 18 bytes?

How about sending garbage packets and normal (h)ello packets:
	Send garbage
	Output copy of garbage
	Send hello
Wait for hello to come back
	Repeat
When the program stops printing stuff, the last piece of randomness on
the screen is what caused the crash. Plus, this will send packets as
fast as possible automatically.
