Duplex mismatch

Hi,

First of all, I love the device - great work!  (Looking forward to Ogg
Vorbis support :-)

I'm experiencing some problems hopefully someone can help with.  My LAN
has 2 win98 boxes and 2 linux boxes all with static IP's, and a win2k
laptop that gets it's IP via DHCP from one of the linux machines.  I'm
getting the following kernel messages on the machine that runs the slimp3
server:

These happen every few minutes while the slimp3 plays.  The slimp3 plays
fine and the linux machine doesn't lose connectivity.  Mii-tool reports:

eth0: no autonegotiation, 10baseT-HD, link ok

The "Probably a duplex mismatch" message is in reference to the following
documentation:

"This is a common error which is almost always caused by another host on
the same network being in full-duplex mode, while this host is in
half-duplex mode.  You need to find that other host and make it run in
half-duplex mode or fix this host to run in full-duplex mode.

As a last resort, you can force the 3c59x driver into full-duplex mode
with

        options 3c59x full_duplex=1

but this has to be viewed as a workaround for broken network gear and
should only really be used for equipment which cannot autonegotiate."

Any ideas on how to gracefully fix this without making my whole LAN run
full duplex?
