Just an FYI. I have a dedicated user who runs the server code (slimp3d)
and thanks to a few too many streaming crashes in the past I added the
following line to my /etc/inittab file (on RedHat):

slim:2345:respawn:su - slimp3d -c "cd /home/slimp3d/slimp3/server;./server.pl"

It will cause the server to start on boot and restart as necessary should
it fail. You'll want to make sure you're running a version of the code
that mostly works for you before doing this though. :)
