ok!  finally got this dude running, I'm so stoked!  I'm not quite as stupid
as I look.
well, hold on, now I have a dumb question:  how can I make the server run in
the background?

(guess to make this thing really useful I should buy the SliMP3!)

It's not really all that hard.  If you have perl in a different location,
instead of running 'perl Makefile.PL', you should run
'/your/perl/location/perl Makefile.PL', and that _should_ set the correct
path.
