hmmm. Because of the "special" nature of the
Qube I cannot upgrade from Perl v5.0.0.4 to v5.6.1 w/out breaking the GUI admin
interface for the box. I managed to config/make/make test/make install
Perl 5.6.1 on the machine in a different directory but am now having trouble
getting HiRes to make. (I *did* get HiRes to make using Perl v5.0.0.4 and
the HiRes.so is present). My guess is that I have some kind of path
problem but I'm not really adept enough to figure it all out...

The server should run just fine on the MIPS Qube.
However, one thing to
note is that we are using one library, Time::HiRes,
which needs to be
compiled for your OS/CPU. It's included pre-compiled in
the distro for
several platforms, but we don't have Linux/MIPS yet.
So you'll need to
download and install Time::HiRes from CPAN, and install
it separately.

Time::HiRes is included for the following
platforms:

Win32/X86
MacOSX(darwin/PPC)
FreeBSD/X86
Linux/X86
OpenBSD/X86
Linux/PPC

If
you'd like to build Time::Hires on your Qube and email me the
file
"HiRes.so", I will add it to the distribution.
